• Phone number — encrypted using industry-standard encryption before storage. Used only to send and receive SMS messages.
• Photos and issue descriptions — images and text you send describing home problems. Used to generate diagnoses. Raw SMS content is not persisted beyond the active session.
• Home memory — structured data about your home systems and past issues, stored to improve future diagnoses. Never shared with third parties.
• Location (optional) — your general area, used only to find nearby contractors when requested. Not stored or shared with advertisers.

What We Don't Collect

AI Analysis

Photos and descriptions you send are analyzed by third-party AI services to generate diagnoses. Images are processed securely and are not retained beyond the request. HomeBeacon does not sell or share your images with any third party.

Contractor Recommendations

When you request contractor referrals, HomeBeacon uses third-party mapping services to find nearby businesses. Your approximate location is used to perform this search. No personal identifiers are shared — only a location query.
